Being neighbours and friendly countries sharing a common culture,Turkey and Syria have taken important steps in recent years ensuring a strong and lasting relationship between two countries.As a result an ‘’Interregional Cooperation Program’’ has been initiated by Turkish Republic State Planning Organization and Syrian Arab Republic State Planning Commission aiming to boost the mutual cooperation activities.

Within the scope of program,the project to establish ‘’Syria Trade Office’’ has been foreseen by Gaziantep Chamber of Commerce and started it’s activities within the premises of Gaziantep Chamber of Commerce on 4 December 2007 with the partnership of Kilis Chamber of Commerce and Industry. 

‘’Syria Trade Office’’ aims to strengthen dialogue and to develop cooperation and partnerships among SME’s,businessmen,investors and NGO’s of Gaziantep,Kilis and Aleppo,the cities that have potential cooperation opportunities in commercial,social and cultural areas.Syria trade office is the first international trade office founded within the scope of program which functions in cooperation with ‘‘Turkey Trade Office’’ at Aleppo Chamber of Commerce.

MISSION OF SYRIA TRADE OFFICE ;

Syria Trade Office aims to improve the commerical and economic relations between neighboring provinces of Gaziantep,Kilis and Aleppo and provides information and counseling service for companies that are willing to to improve their trade with Syria through Trade Office and for companies planning to initiate trade with Syria.

SERVICES PROVIDED BY SYRIA TRADE OFFICE ;

Answering information requests : Providing counseling service and providing answers to the economic and commercial inquiries of Gaziantep and Kilis companies under the frame of Turkish-Syrian economical relations.

Informing and Guiding : Providing information to exporters and importers on regulations,standarts,free trade aggreement, and exhibitions by a organization of meetings and seminars.

Presentation and Promotion of companies : Mutual presentation and promotion of companies by sector that are willing to to start trade and cooperation through the bulletins,announcements and meetings.

Publications and documentation : Preparations of periodical documents,launching a comprehensive website and preparation of sectoral reports and publications for companies which are seeking partnership or execute joint investments with Syrian businessmen.

Promotional meetings and cooperation organizations : Promoting the inter-regional relations by arranging mutual meetings and business to business events.
